Two cars were involved in an accident on Poplar Level Road in Louisville on Wednesday morning. Two people got out of their car to inspect the damage when they were struck by another car.

The driver of that car, the two pedestrians, and another driver involved in the first accident were all taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say standing by your car in an intersection is not a good idea.

"Especially on a dark, cold, foggy morning, that's not advisable. Stay in your vehicle, turn your flashers on," says Sgt. Lawrence Glaser of Metro Police.

The accident tied up traffic and created a long delay for some students trying to get to school. Six students were almost two hours late for school because their school bus could not get to them.
